RADIATION

Our background in radiation effects includes natural, tactical and strategic environments. We have participated in above and below ground nuclear tests and Cobalt-60, Linear Accelerator, Flash X-ray and reactor characterization. Our radiation hardening efforts have addressed space radiation, single-event-upset, proton and neutron damage, high intensity ionizing radiation effects, latch up suppression, EMP effects, etc. We have participated in radiation hard designs in the bipolar and CMOS technologies.

We have acted on a consulting basis for US Government agencies to assist in satellite and strategic system hardening. Our experience includes the Polaris/Poseidon/Trident missiles, Minuteman, and numerous sensor satellite programs.

We did the first ever work in mixed signal and linear SOI/SOS circuits for application in strategic environments. We performed pioneering work in rapid annealing and cryogenic CMOS effects. In short, there is hardly a radiation environment or phenomenon which we have not addressed.

Our radiation effects background has proven invaluable to the design of commercial and extended temperature range electronics. It has given us a worst-case perspective which leads to rock solid circuit performance under the worst of non-military environments.
